From the garages of the Central Ohio suburbs, in a century long forgotten by time, came the punk rock psychonauts known as Booth Baby
Known for their notorious outdoor Butt/Bud Cold festivals and for the mutual disdain cultivated between the band and the local police department throughout the years, the group became known for their grinding riffs, wild antics, and energetic live performances. Also, being a punk rock band with a radio show, Paranormal Activity, helped get the word out about shows and increase the band’s presence
Influenced equally by NOFX, Pink Floyd, and Dr Dre; vocalist Jacob Stephens “The Grommit”, guitarist Andy Piotrowski “Cheez”, and bassist Steve Tornatzky “Silky the Pimp” set out to create dynamic, original music that could be used as a vessel to express their angst against their suburban overlords, expose the limits to the authority of the local school districts, and rise above the worst social offenders of them all, trendies
The three knew they needed a drummer and added Cid Gage “Flour Boy” to the lineup. After a fateful post-Easter practice, at which the group created both the name of the band and the song that would become the title track to their album, the group's identity had been created and their mission was clear
Volume two of the story of Booth Baby is the band Lando. After Stephens left the band to pursue other things, Tornatzky and Gage formed Lando with another guitarist. Eventually, Piotrowski served a stint with Lando and so did Gage’s future collaborator Jorgé the Bassplayer for a short time
The sessions for the Booth Baby album were completed while the group was working on putting together the Lando live show. Unfortunately, no recordings exist of the later project
