Heady Nuggets is a hip-hop duo from Columbus, Ohio made up of DCYFAHS alum D-Lac and rapper/producer Cid Gage

The duo produced two studio albums in the first decade of the 2000s with seasoned hip-hop producer Brian Simakis starting with their eponymous debut album in 2005

In 2006, they put together an energetic live show which eventually featured Jorgé the Bass Player and drummer Koo Whip. Through their live shows, they were able to show a different aspect of their collective skill sets and establish themselves as more than just another studio act

After a few years of performing live, D-Lac and Gage were ready to take their new material into the studio. Also produced by Gage and Simakis with a lot of help from studio engineer Travis Lautenshlager

The second album, titled “Remember When Hip-hop”, spring-boarded off of the explosive landing made by the duo’s first album and proved to be a leap into new territory. Both MCs were able to showcase their growth as songwriters and display new degrees of their talents. Both Jorgé and Koo Whip make appearances on the album, which was completed in 2008

The digital re-release of the album was re-mastered by DiaMond Barz
